Styrkeprøven has received its license back

Today, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration has confirmed in a letter to Styrkeprøven AS that the basis for withdrawing the permit to organize the tour race Styrkeprøven in June was incorrect and that the event therefore still has a permit. Now it’s back to full speed ahead with the planning of Styrkeprøven.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration writes in its letter, among other things, the following:

“After the decision to revoke the permit was made, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration was made aware that Styrkeprøven AS had entered the correct information in Bikemaster in accordance with section 4 of the conditions. The reason why the information that the Norwegian Public Roads Administration saw and acted upon did not correspond with the information Styrkeprøven had entered is a computer error in Bikemaster. This has been clarified and confirmed by the owner of the computer program. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration was not in a position to discover that Styrkeprøven had nevertheless entered correct information.”

In conclusion, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration writes:

“After the decision was made, and as described in the complaint, it is clear that the decision is based on an incorrect factual basis. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration agrees with the complainant’s description of the facts. The complaint is fully upheld. The decision is invalid and is annulled.”
