The Norwegian Public Roads Administration grants permission for Styrkeprøven in 2025

We have received the necessary permits from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration to organize the rides that are part of Styrkeprøven 2025, i.e. start from Trondheim, Lillehammer and Eidsvoll with finish at Tokerud in Groruddalen in Oslo. The rides will be arranged 14-15. June.
Thus, we can welcome Styrkeprøven for 56. time since 1967!
In 2025, we will continue to make changes to the route for those cycling our longest distance from Trondheim. As in 2024, the participants will cycle from Hjerkinn via Folldal and over Venabygdsfjellet to Ringebu. This route is somewhat shorter and provides more altitude than before, but in return an even more beautiful nature experience and far less car traffic on the road.
In 2025, anyone cycling from Trondheim or Lillehammer will continue to follow the west side of Lake Mjøsa – via Vingrom, Biri, Gjøvik, Skreia and Feiring before Minnesund.
South of Minnesund, the route has been rerouted between Eidsvoll and Dal past Råholt. Further on towards Kløfta, the route follows the usual route. The participants will then cycle via Frogner to Skedsmokorset, along the same route as last year to Slattum in Nittedal, and up the Hadelandsveien road to Gjelleråsen and then national road 4. Time is stopped at the automatic gas station at Gjelleråsen and from there you follow the pedestrian and cycle paths to the finish area in Tokerudhallen.
The permit from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration is subject to a number of conditions. This means, among other things, that we as organizers must be clear that the Road Traffic Act applies and that the race regulations must be followed by all participants. Followers are still prohibited for reasons of road safety and accessibility, and the organizer is also required to be stricter in imposing sanctions for rule violations.
We therefore ask all participants to respect the traffic rules – such as speed limits, red lights, right of way and the ban on support vehicles. Remember: In touring races, the roads are never closed to other traffic!
We will come back with more detailed information in the race manual.
