Nora (28) hit the small Styrkeprøven last year – now she’s ready for a new round

Nora Charlotte Sønstebø lives in Lillehammer and works as an intern at a GP office in Nordre Land municipality.

– In my spare time, I like to be active, especially with road cycling and running. I’m also interested in knitting and sourdough baking,” says the 28-year-old.

Great joy of cycling

Nora has been cycling sporadically since high school, but has become more and more active since 2022.

– “I like everything you get to see and experience of nature on a bike ride. It’s nice to be able to cycle with others, set goals and destinations, take pleasant breaks along the way and discover new cafés,” she says, and adds:

And not least, it’s an injury-free form of exercise.

The small Styrkeprøven

Last year, Nora made a big impression on the most popular distance of the Strength Test, Lillehammer – Oslo. This year she is ready to tackle the 176 kilometers again.

– The little Styrkeprøven was tough, but a fantastic experience! I rode without a team, but collaborated with other cyclists along the way, which provided both motivation and unity.

– “The greatest joy was being surprised at the finish line by my friend who stood and cheered – it gave me extra energy after a long and demanding trip,” she adds.

– Prioritize getting some long rides in beforehand. It’s important to practice eating well along the way, and to get some practice cycling in the field.

– Will you be participating this year too?

Yes, in the little Styrkeprøven. I can’t wait!
