A Norwegian Spring Classic is here. With 209 km 2100 m climbs and 13 gravel sectors on farm roads is this a new trial never to be done in Norway. Set aside April 27th 2019 for an experience of a lifetime.
Styrkeprøven is back with a brand new race. This time we will travel to the inner parts of Østfold and we have a spectacular track from Oslo to the city of Mysen. Please note - the track is challenging and we advise you strongly to adhere to all signs posted along the route.
The start is located at Hvervenbukta south of Oslo. The topography of Østfold seems moderate at first glance, but you will be surprised. The 2100 meter climb comes in very short intervals and you need to preserve your energy throughout. Please see the exact track below where all sectors are presented both on map and in video format.
Please also note there is a half distrace available. For those who favour a shorter distance you will finish when passing Mysen the first time.
Over the years we and selected land owners plan to introduce cobbles into our 13 sectors. The first year we have serious farm roads, excellent asphalt, poor asphalt in a mix that give you a fantastic ride. Enjoy.
Here you will find a overview over the 13 sectors including video. The first sector the riders will hit is number 13 and from there a countdown to the last one, sector 1.
There's a total of 49.245 km of rough gavel/track and that is a total of 23% of the whole 209 km race.
