Den Store Styrkeprøven

Den Store Styrkeprøven – The Great Trial of Strength. One of cycling’s real classics. Feared and loved by riders for over half a century. Nothing comes close to completing this race.

From 1967 until 2018 we have witnessed 113 080 rides from Trondheim to Oslo or 61,06 million kilometers alternatively 1 523 circumnavigations around the Earth.

We welcome you to the 54t edition of Styrkeprøven and promise you a race that will continue in the spirit of 1967, offer improvements from 2022 and as always present one or two surprises.

Time used in the Ultimate app

In the Styrkeprøven time keeping is managed with chip technology. The chip is integrated in the start number and should be mounted / fixed to the seat post of your bike. The chip or the start number is not to be redelivered.

To ensure correct timekeeping the chip must be attached to the bike from start to finish. The Start Time is registered in Trondheim with intermediates at Dombås, Kvam, Lillehammer, Gjøvik and Eidsvoll.

The overall time will be registered in Oslo. Riders (and family) with smart phones can load the App UltimateLIVE from App Store / Google Play. You can thus follow the rider from start to finish. In addition – the App will sync with selected Heart Rate Belts so your friends can follow you every beat of the way.
