The tradition lives on – the world’s longest and oldest annual cyclosportive event is ready for 2019. Styrkepröven includes all riders in love with a real road race institution. From June 21st until June 23rd 2019 our riders will again experience breath-taking Norwegian nature in the Great Trial of Strength.
We start from five cities including Trondheim (540 km), Kvam (279 km), Lillehammer (192 km), Gjövik (138 km) and Eidsvoll (62 km). You choose the distance that suits you and your goals.
By moving to the third week in June we again separate from Vätternrundan. We have been working for this change over time, as many of our riders are keen to complete both classics. We do hope the change will attract many riders to both races.
A major change for 2019 is the start times in Trondheim. Riders from Trondheim have expressed a desire to reach Oslo Saturday evening rather than Sunday night / Sunday morning. To meet these request we will now start from Trondheim on Friday June 21st at 1800 hours. The Finish Area in Oslo will close at 0200 hrs Sunday June 23rd. This will give our riders 32 hours to complete the race. A detailed schedule and corresponding start groups can be found on the Trondheim page.
The change of schedule from Trondheim will lead to slightly more compact race and will also give our volunteers a much-needed reduction in workload. Our Finisher Area in Vallhall Arena will also be filled with more riders late Saturday and present the Trondheim Riders with a better atmosphere.
Please note – if your are in need of more than 32 hours – please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
